I am the proud owneer of a 1969 Morgan 28
Recently, a friend ran the boat up on the rocks and bent the rudder.
I've been told that hollow shaft rudders can not be repaired. Is this true?
I would like to also cut off approx. 6" from the bottom of the rudder as it is lower than the trunk. With the swing keel lowered I draw about 7'-0" but when it is up the rudder is the lowest part of the boat. By cutting off the lower 6" will it affect the preformance by much?
Thanks for the help,
Paul R. Pinet S/V "Miss Ariela"
